Major Golf Tournaments Finishing Today

TOUR Championship - PGA - East Lake Golf Club - Atlanta, GA

Scottie Scheffler continues to lead the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia. After three rounds, Scheffler sits atop the leaderboard at 26-under par, holding a five-shot advantage over his nearest competitor, Collin Morikawa, who is at 21-under.

Scheffler has maintained his strong performance throughout the tournament, shooting rounds of 65-66-65 to build on his starting score of 10-under par. His consistent play across all aspects of the game, including improved putting, has put him in an excellent position to capture his first Tour Championship and FedEx Cup title.

Collin Morikawa has made a significant move up the leaderboard, posting the best tournament score so far with rounds of 66-63-67. His exceptional iron play and improved putting have allowed him to close the gap on Scheffler, though he still faces a substantial deficit heading into the final round.

Sahith Theegala sits in third place at 17-under par, despite calling a two-shot penalty on himself during the third round for grounding his club in a fairway bunker. Theegala's honesty and strong finish, including five consecutive birdies to end his round, have kept him in contention for a high finish.

The final round on Sunday promises to be exciting, with Scheffler looking to close out the tournament and secure the $25 million first-place prize. While a comeback seems unlikely, players like Morikawa and Theegala will be pushing to finish as high as possible in the season-ending event.

Ko's performance was particularly notable given the early collapse of previous leader Haeran Ryu. Ryu, who had set a career-best 62 in the previous round, struggled with a 78 in the third round, dropping from a six-shot lead to four shots behind Ko.

Lauren Coughlin is currently in second place, two shots behind Ko at 9-under par. Coughlin, who has been in excellent form recently, managed a 69 in the third round, making her the only player to score in the 60s for all three rounds so far.
